We’re excited to introduct Matt Jackson-Smith, who has has joined Butcher’s as our new vet ambassador. Matt joined Channel 5’s The Yorkshire Vet in 2020 and immediately became a viewers favourite.

Matt trained at the University of Glasgow, sharing the same academic roots as the world-renowned vet Alf Wight, better known as James Herriot. Today, he’s a dedicated mixed practice vet at Donaldson’s Vets in Huddersfield, where he cares for everything from small animals and exotics to farm animals.

Outside the clinic, Matt is a proud husband to Katherine and dad to their one-year-old daughter Anastasia, along with their beloved Cavapoo, Harry, who’s seven. You may also recognise Matt from his appearances on Channel 5’s Springtime on the Farm and the Yorkshire Vet spin-off, At Home With the Greens, where his passion for animal care shines through.

Matt brings this same passion to his role with Butcher’s, saying:
