We’re refreshing our recipes, but the Butcher’s you know and trust isn’t going anywhere. It’s still the same food your dog loves, now with a few carefully chosen additions to support their wellbeing and digestive health.
As part of this refresh, we’ve introduced:

Plant fibre to aid digestive health
A gently cooked broth that enhances natural aromas, unlocks delicious flavour, and helps preserve nutrients and taste

Same recipe. Small improvements to support gut health
While the core recipe remains the same, we’ve made a few small improvements to support digestive health, including the addition of MOS, FOS, salmon oil and plant fibres. MOS and FOS are natural prebiotic fibres. They help feed the good bacteria in a dog’s gut, which helps support with digestion, nutrient absorption, and immune health.
What is the broth made of?
The broth is gently cooked meat ingredients and water, just like homemade broth, allowing the rich, savoury aroma and natural flavour to shine through. The result is a wholesome, mouth-watering broth that pets love.
What are the new ingredients you have added in?

The new recipes are not agreeing with my dog’s digestion.
Every dog’s tummy is unique! Their gut microbiome, a very complex and helpful community of bacteria and microbes that digests food, can be sensitive to changes. That means even a small recipe change can sometimes cause temporary digestive upset. To help you can start by adding a little of the new food with the current food, then slowly increase over several days. Give it time, most dogs adjust within 1-2 weeks as their digestive system and microbiome adapt to the changes. Patience and a gradual transition are key!

Our new ingredients are now included across a range of your dog’s favourite recipes. You’ll find them in our Traditional & Succulent meals and Puppy Perfect recipes in foil trays. In our canned range, they’re included in recipes in jelly, recipes in gravy, tripe mix, tripe loaf recipes, and our variety packs.
